Sampling Distributions of Proportions: Seed Germination
A greenhouse is testing a new batch of seeds. Based on past data, about 40% of seeds sprout.
You will take random samples of seeds and record how many sprout. Each sample gives a sample proportion \(\hat{p}\).
Choose a sample size and the number of samples to draw. Watch how the sampling distribution of \(\hat{p}\) develops as you collect more samples.
To use the interactive with a keyboard, press Tab to move through the controls. When the sample size or number of samples box is selected, use the arrow keys to change the value. Then tab to Draw Samples or Reset and press Enter.
